From Customer to Investor: Connectiv’s Jay Weintraub Backs Premagic

Events industry leader approaches Premagic after running the platform across his own shows, as the company confirms profitability and turns its attention to the US market.

From Customer to Investor: Connectiv’s Jay Weintraub Backs Premagic

September 2026 – Premagic, the AI-powered organic event marketing platform used by organisers across Asia, the UK and Europe, has confirmed an investment from Jay Weintraub, Co-Founder and CEO of Connectiv, the B2B events company behind Manifest, Medicarians, Protectors and Charter Connect. Weintraub becomes Premagic’s first US-based investor.

Connectiv had been using Premagic across its event portfolio since May 2025. By February 2026, the experience had made enough of an impression for Jay to reach out directly to CEO Anup Mohan to explore an investment in the business. The conversation that followed led to the investment being announced today.

“I have launched and run events for almost two decades. I have been an early investor and user of event technology. At Connectiv, we continue to build event technology, including having sold our main event platform to Grip. If we believe something is good, I would like to think that means it is. My team discovered and started testing Premagic long before I asked for us to invest. The team at Premagic is incredible, and they have built a world-class platform. Their ability to increase attendance and engagement is unparalleled. We see them as a partner not a vendor, and I hope this investment will only make our organizations closer." Jay Weintraub, Co-Founder and CEO of Connectiv

The relationship began as a product conversation rather than a sales one. Connectiv had trialled other attendee engagement tools before Premagic without getting the experience it was looking for. What changed the picture was the craft in the product itself, from the design of the attendee posters to the quality of the interface. Weintraub asked to meet Premagic’s product team directly, shared his own ideas on where the platform could go further and several of those went into the roadmap.

Connectiv started with photo distribution and by Manifest in Las Vegas in February 2026 was running Premagic’s full pre-event advocacy programme, using attendees, speakers and partners to build reach in the weeks before the doors opened. At Manifest 2026 alone, more than 1,200 attendees, speakers and partners became active advocates for the event, creating nearly 1,300 posts with an estimated reach of over 630,000 people. Premagic has since been deployed across further events in the Connectiv portfolio.

“Jay came to this as a product-first believer. He used Premagic at his own events, saw the impact it had on how his attendees engaged, and then came to us about investing. Nobody pitched him. A customer choosing to become an investor is about the highest form of validation a founder can ask for, and it means a great deal to our team.” Anup Mohan, Co-Founder and CEO, Premagic

The investment arrives with Premagic profitable across the last financial year, which shapes what the funding is for. Rather than extending runway, it is intended to accelerate the company’s expansion into the US, where Weintraub’s experience of the North American events market and his relationships across it are expected to be as valuable to Premagic as the capital itself.

Premagic’s mission is to help event organisers shift focus from paid acquisition towards organic, compounding advocacy built by attendees, speakers and exhibitors themselves. The platform spans pre-event, during-event and post-event campaigns, turning every event into a content engine that continues generating visibility long after it ends.

Having established strong traction across Asia and built an active presence in the UK and Europe, Premagic is now focused on the US market. Weintraub’s investment forms part of a round the company is currently completing. The size of the investment has not been disclosed. Organisations interested in participating in the round can contact Anup Mohan directly at anup@premagic.com.
